Q. Why not just use Google for my searches?

Answer

It is more effective to locate reliable scholarly materials when using the Library & Learning Commons (LLC). Most scholarly information is not available on the web. For instance, Google Scholar does not link to all of the articles you have access to through the library’s databases. It is also easier to use the FSCJ online library than Google. For example, sources found from the open web need additional evaluation steps to assure it is scholarly material. The LLC also provides a variety of searching options and support such as locating Peer Reviewed material and providing citations.
