How do I schedule either a virtual or on-campus appointment with a tutor?

Both on-campus and online tutoring are available. Visit the Tutoring Services Web Page for full information.

Students will also continue to have access to the tutoring support provided by the Brainfuse tutors through Live Help, the Writing Lab, and Send a Problem. There are no monthly usage caps if you choose to use Tutor Match with the FSCJ tutors. We encourage you to use Tutor Match as your primary source of tutoring support and supplement by connecting with Brainfuse tutors during the hours when FSCJ tutors are not available for appointments, keeping in mind that there is a monthly cap of 90 minutes of usage for Live Help, Writing Lab, and Send a Problem services provided by the Brainfuse tutors. Each use of the Brainfuse Writing Lab or Send a Problem is metered at 30 minutes and deducts this time from the 90-minute monthly allowance of supplemental Brainfuse support.

The LLC also offers on-campus tutoring. Students may preschedule an appointment or drop-in to an LLC facility and be placed into a queue for an available appointment slot. To schedule an appointment or get more information about campus-based tutoring, please visit the Tutoring Services Web page; on the Home tab there is a link to schedule (or cancel) a campus-based appointment. We advise students to visit the Campus Information pages in the Tutoring Services Web page to preview tutor availability by location and subject prior to their arrival on campus. *Please note that campus-based appointments are booked through EAB Navigate/MyGradPlan, and each student interface is customized to reflect enrollment status and tutor availability.  If an option is not showing up on a student's screen, he/she should call the campus LLC to inquire about tutoring availability.

  2. While we cannot give you extra minutes this month to use with the Brainfuse tutors, we want you to know that FSCJ’s tutors are working in the Brainfuse platform. You may schedule an appointment with one of them with a system feature called Tutor Match. If you choose to use Tutor Match with the FSCJ tutors, there are no monthly caps on usage. We encourage you to use Tutor Match with the FSCJ tutors as your primary source of tutoring support and then supplement with the Brainfuse tutors (Writing Lab and Live Help) during the hours when the FSCJ tutors are not available.
